Seller Policy
1. You are responsible for your items
As a seller you are fully responsible for your items and listings, including:
- that you own the item and have the right to sell it;
- that it is authentic and matches your photos and description, including condition, grade and edition;
- following all laws that apply to you, including consumer-protection, product-safety and tax laws;
- collecting and paying any sales tax you owe;
- packing, shipping, tracking and delivery;
- returns you offer, and resolving problems with your buyer.
ValutrixOS doesn't collect sales tax on members' sales today. My Books can show your sales by buyer state and your tax dates, for your information only.
2. What you can list
Physical collectibles you have in hand: trading cards (raw, graded and sealed), comics and other physical collectibles. No digital items, codes, NFTs or gift cards. Items you don't have in hand must be clearly labeled Preorder with a ship date.
3. Altered, cleaned, pressed and reprinted items: you must disclose
If an item has been cleaned, pressed, flattened, trimmed, recolored, restored, re-backed or otherwise altered, say so clearly in the title or the first line of the description, and tick the matching box when you list. Official reprints (made or licensed by the original publisher) must be labeled as reprints. Trovix™ SI adds an "Altered" or "Reprint" tag when you tick the box. Undisclosed alterations count as "not as described." Listings that hide them may be removed and can lead to a ban.
Not allowed: counterfeits, unofficial reprints, proxies, resealed packs or boxes, fake slabs or labels, and custom or fan-made versions of trademarked or copyrighted items.
4. Grades, slabs and logos
- Graded items must show the grading company and certification number.
- Never describe a Pre-Grade, a Trovix SI estimate or your own opinion as an official grade. Words like "gem mint" or a grade number are only for items in a real grading-company slab with a cert number.
- Don't use grading-company logos in your listings.
- Custom slabs and display cases must be described as custom. They must not copy a grading company's label, certificate number or hologram.
5. Fan-made goods
Fan-made goods are only allowed when they are entirely your own original work, and new fan-made listings are held for review before they go live. You promise you have the right to sell what you list. Custom or fan-made versions of other companies' trademarked or copyrighted characters, logos or artwork are not allowed. If a rights owner sends us a valid notice, we remove the listing, and repeat problems lead to account termination (see Copyright (DMCA)).
6. Shipping
Ship within the time you state, or within 2 US business days if you state none. Ship to the address on the buyer's PayPal transaction, with tracking when required (orders over $20). Insure orders over $250 and add signature on delivery over $500.
7. Payments and fees
Take marketplace payments only through PayPal Goods & Services using the payment button on the listing. Never ask a buyer to pay by Friends & Family, gift cards, crypto, wire or any method outside the listing. Doing so is grounds for removal. Buyers never pay a ValutrixOS fee. ValutrixOS's seller fee is earned when the sale completes and isn't refunded if you later refund the buyer. Stripe and PayPal processing fees follow their own rules. Your seller fee is shown before you list and is paid after the sale. New listings and live shows pause while a seller fee has been unpaid for 7 days or more, or unpaid fees add up to $25 or more; paying the fee turns them back on.
8. Disputes between members
ValutrixOS doesn't issue, process, approve or decide refunds between members. Each seller picks a return policy when listing, and it's shown on the listing. Ask the seller first (use Message on the listing or order). If you can't agree, use your payment provider's process, for example PayPal Purchase Protection or a card dispute through Stripe or your bank. ValutrixOS doesn't hold money, so it can't force or block a refund. What we do: keep the order record and listing snapshot so both sides can show what was agreed, take reports, and remove listings or suspend accounts that break the rules, with appeals. Sellers must record any refund in the app, with the payment ID, so both sides have a record. ValutrixOS doesn't issue or hold refunds. On the order, tap Record a refund (full or partial, PayPal / Stripe / other, and the transaction or receipt ID; never a card or account number). The buyer taps Got it or Not received. Not recording a refund, or a buyer's Not received, can be reported, and ValutrixOS may act on the account; it doesn't decide the money. It isn't a court or arbitration, and it doesn't limit your rights.
9. Copyright notices and repeat infringers
We follow the notice and counter-notice steps on our Copyright (DMCA) page. We track valid notices against each account and terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of repeat infringers. As a rule, three valid notices that weren't successfully countered within 12 months lead to termination, and we may act sooner for clear or willful infringement. Reported counterfeit listings are removed and repeat offenders are suspended.
10. Items sold by Slab Emporium
Slab Emporium LLC, the company that runs ValutrixOS, also sells its own items here under a "Sold by Slab Emporium" badge. For those sales Slab Emporium LLC is the seller and follows this same policy. Its listings get no hidden ranking boost and pay no seller fee (the fee would be paid to ourselves; disclosed in Terms 6B). Texas buyers pay 8.25% Texas sales tax on the item and shipping. Returns are accepted within 30 days; Slab Emporium pays return shipping when an item isn't as described. Its staff don't use special powers to decide disputes about its own sales, and can't hide honest reviews.
